Tavis Smiley Comes To Detroit To Examine City’s Resurgence

PBS host Tavis Smiley is taping this week’s episodes of his late-night talk show in Detroit.

Tavis Smiley is back in Detroit this week.  The PBS television host is recording several interviews at Wayne State University for his nightly talk show.

The topics of discussion range from the resurgence of downtown Detroit to concerns long-time residents have about a changing city.

Smiley sat down with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn to talk about the special shows and his thoughts about Detroit.

Tavis Smiley’s show airs at midnight weekdays on Detroit Public Television.
