An exhibition that celebrates both modern art and Motor City history opens this weekend with Diego Rivera & Frida Kahlo in Detroit.

Hear about the exhibit’s inception from DIA Director Graham Beal, its importance on the art world from curator Mark Rosenthal, and Diego’s grandson Juan Coronel Rivera talks about the secret letters he uncovered.

It’s all woven between the latest collaboration from Wu-Tang Clan rapper GZA and Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, “The Mexican.”
