U.S. Vice President Joe Biden says Detroit’s auto industry is healthy again, years after a federal bailout helped save car companies from financial ruin.
Biden says the Obama Administration “bet on the American worker,” and the gamble paid off.
He made the remarks before taking a tour of the North American International Auto Show.
WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter was there when Biden addressed a meeting of the Detroit Regional Chamber at the show.
He tells WDET’s Jerome Vaughn the Vice President seemed to be greatly enjoying himself.
