WDET is offering tickets to the 7 p.m Thursday screening.

Once the center of the bohemian world, Greenwich Village is now home to lux restaurants and buzzer-door clothing boutiques. But one classic Village shop remains: Carmine Street Guitars. Custom guitar maker Rick Kelly builds handcrafted guitars out of old wood from New York hotels, bars and churches. Nothing looks or sounds like a Kelly guitar, which is the reason they’re played by the likes of Bob Dylan, Lou Reed and Patti Smith. Featuring a cast of just-looking legends and some virtuoso guitar demos, Carmine Street Guitars captures five days in the heart of Greenwich Village and is dedicated to the memory of frequent window-shopper Jonathan Demme.
