Like so many areas throughout the city, Detroit’s Jefferson Chalmers community was devastated by the recent flooding. The aftermath has been especially challenging for the neighborhood’s community garden mainstay, Feedom Freedom Growers.

Much of what was growing in the community garden tended by local youth was destroyed and now Feedom Freedom Growers’ Mama Myrtle Thompson and Baba Wayne Curtis are getting to work to rebuild what was lost in the flood and YOU can help.
