WDET’s series Communities of Hope focuses on the positive ways communities of color have persevered through the pandemic. Join Detroit-based food entrepreneurs as they share their stories and lessons during this unprecedented period, and enjoy samples of their specialty food items.

WDET reporter Nargis Rahman will speak with Chef Helina Melaku of Konjo Me, authentic Ethiopian cuisine, and Sadya Chowdhury, owner of Zafreen’s Kitchen, a Bangladeshi catering company.

Beverages will be available for purchase from Baobob Fare. Metered street parking is available.
