Laura Herberg came to WDET as an intern in the production department in 2010 and stuck around until she was hired full-time six years later. In 2017, she was named the Michigan Associated Press Best Reporter for radio broadcasting. In 2012, Herberg was awarded a SoundCloud Fellowship for her project, Listen to Detroit. She is the creator of the podcast Complete Me and a “counselor” for the local listening group, Radio Campfire. Herberg learned the craft of radio storytelling at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, she received her B. A. in Psychology at Lewis & Clark College and she is currently working toward her Master of Urban Planning at Wayne State University.Follow @HerbergRadio
