Lea Thomas is Membership Director at 101. WDET. Thomas holds a certificate in Fundraising from The Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University. She has 10 prior years of successful fundraising experience, and 8 years at WDET, as well as a background in teaching and 11 years in event planning. Prior to coming to WDET she was the Development Director at a local Habitat for Humanity affiliate, where she found success establishing signature events, increasing community and business partnerships, and funding to meet rapidly growing capacity. She is a third generation Detroiter and her grandfather owned State Upholstery in the heyday of the Livernois and Fenkell area.
