Ideeyah is a Detroit singer-songwriter who uses electronic beats with a soulful spin to create a neo-electro vibe. She has been making music since the early 2010s and released her debut album Brave in 2017. The album featured Detroit legends like Wajeed and leaned into what it meant to go for what you know, being in the moment and claiming your power.
Ideeyah joined CultureShift with guitarist Trey Priest and percussionist D-Love to play a few songs and talk about bravery, motherhood and growing up in Detroit’s music community.
