Michigan Association of Broadcasters Pays Tribute to Ed Love, Presents Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award honors a Michigan broadcast pioneer who has dedicated the majority of their professional career to broadcasting in Michigan.

The Michigan Association of Broadcasters is bestowing WDET’s Ed Love with the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring his outstanding career in broadcast.

The Lifetime Achievement Award honors a Michigan broadcast pioneer who has dedicated the majority of their professional career to broadcasting in Michigan. For more than 60 years, 40 of them right here on WDET, Ed has been sharing his love of jazz with the masses.

In addition to Ed’s monumental award, the Michigan Association of Broadcasters recognized WDET with 10 awards for its work in 2020, including six “Best In Category” awards — more than any other public radio station in the state.
