The Past is Not Forgotten: The Detroit Sound Conservancy Saves the City’s Music History One Piece at a Time

Detroit’s Soul Ambassador, Melvin Davis, will perform at the exhibit’s opening this Friday night.

The Detroit Sound Conservancy celebrates seven years of saving the city’s musical legacy at the Detroit Historical Museum this week.

The group is the subject of a new exhibit showcasing the non-profit’s years of work recovering artifacts like the famous stage of the Blue Bird Inn jazz club and the legendary speakers of Detroit’s Club Heaven.
