PBS Examines Science Behind Lead Poisoning in Flint

The director of PBS show Nova’s episode on Flint water crisis says story is science tainted by bad government.

Residents in Flint continue dealing with the fallout from a government decision that left the city’s water supply tainted with lead.

The situation has led to numerous media stories, upcoming films and now a look at the science behind the tragic lead poisoning.

The episode “Poisoned Water” debuts tonight on the PBS program “Nova.”

The producer, writer and director of the episode is Llewellyn Smith.

He tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter there was something missing from media reports about the water crisis in Flint.
