UM-Flint, Google Create New Flint Water Map

Students help develop interactive tools for Flint residents

A new web site and mobile app give Flint residents the latest information about the city’s water. Google and students at the University of Michigan-Flint designed the “MyWater-Flint” tools to help people who are still dealing with lead contamination. Assistant professor Mark Allison, a computer scientist, tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller the app and the web site put lead-testing results and other information at people’s fingertips.
