Thanksgiving Holiday Special Programming

WDET has two days full of special programming to provide the perfect backdrop to your Thanksgiving holiday.

Thursday, November 24 — Thanksgiving Day

9 AM: This American Life. In this hour, your host Ira Glass presents “The Heart Wants What It Wants.” Stories from people who take that notion to extremes, and are unapologetic about it.

10 AM: Snap Judgement. In this hour, host Glynn Washington presents “Rose Colored Glasses.” An hour of real stories about the people who seem to walk around with a permanent grin…do they know something we don’t?

11 AM: American As Pumpkin Pie: A History of Thanksgiving. On this holiday edition of BackStory, the History Guys search for the true roots of Thanksgiving.

12 PM – 3 PM: Sound Opinions Specials about Thanksgiving, Rock n Roll and the explosion of Punk.

3 PM: Fresh Air with Terry Gross.

Friday, November 25
