Fiat Chrysler Recalls 500,000 Jeep Wranglers

Fiat Chrysler officials are recalling half-a-million Jeep Wrangler SUV’s because the air bags may not deploy.

Fiat Chrysler is recalling roughly 500,000 Jeep Wrangler SUV’s because the vehicles’ air bags may not work.

The recall involves Jeep Wranglers from the 2007 through 2010 model years.

The Jeep’s driver-side air bags may not inflate during an accident.

The vast majority of the vehicles affected were sold in the U.S.

The automaker says dust and dirt can cause difficulty with wiring connected to the air bags.

Fiat Chrysler says a warning light should come on if the Jeep is having air bag trouble.

Company officials add that dealers will correct the problem once the necessary parts become available.
