Catapult Grants Aim to Launch Small Nonprofits

Five groups will get grants of $7500.

One of the biggest challenges new nonprofits face is finding funding. In 2015, the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan started providing small grants to nonprofits with annual budgets of less than $500 thousand. Program Officer Surabhi Pandit tells WDET”s Pat Batcheller the foundation’s Catapult grants can help raise a new nonprofit’s profile as well as its capital.
