The Detroit Department of Transportation is asking frequent riders what changes in they would like to see in the bus system. DDOT held a community workshop Tuesday where customers discussed their transportation priorities.
Neil Greenberg is the system’s Manager of Service Development and Scheduling. He says the first meeting was very informative.
“We got to see a lot of the frustration that’s been out there for a while. We need to hear that. It’s good for us to hear that so we know how to direct our management efforts.You know, is customer service a big issue? Great let’s focus on that,” Greenberg says. “Nothing we are hearing today are we denying, we know that there are customers that are frustrated. But we are working really hard to address those issues specifically.”
Officials are taking public comments and will apply them to proposals for system improvement and upgrades in January. DDOT will host another community input meeting on Thursday.
