Ohio Governor John Kasich (kay-sick) visited the Detroit Economic Club Monday. Kasich spoke to the group about Ohio’s comeback after its economic problems following the “Great Recession.”

He says embracing change and innovation is what will help Ohio and the rest of the country move into the future.

“It’s working in Ohio, ” Kasich says. “And what works in Ohio — Let’s face it folks: Ohio is a microcosm of America…it could work in our country. There isn’t any question about it.”

Kasich later took a tour of the city to learn about revitalization efforts and then met with the Oakland County Republicans. He is a possible candidate for the 2016 presidential race.
