Congressman Kildee is in Detroit this week for a round-table discussion about a proposed nuclear waste disposal site planned near Lake Huron in Ontario. He opposes the plan, which would bury low and intermediate level nuclear waste in bedrock.

“Of all the potential sites in the vast landscape that is Canada, it would seem there has to be a more appropriate site for a nuclear waste facility,” said Kildee in a recent press release.

Congressman Kildee plans to meet with conservation and environmental stakeholders at a series of meetings.
