Spartans March To Another Final Four

That’s 7 Final Fours for MSU under Tom Izzo. Duke’s got next.

Michigan State overcame an eight-point halftime deficit to beat Louisville 76-to-70 in overtime in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament Sunday afternoon in Syracuse, New York. The Spartans earned their seventh trip to the Final Four under head coach Tom Izzo, and their first since 2010, when they lost the championship game at Ford Field in Detroit. MSU began the tournament as the 7th seed in the East Region, and beat Georgia, Virginia, and Oklahoma before eliminating the Cardinals. WDET’s Pat Batcheller asked WXYZ sports reporter David Solano how the Spartans overcame significant challenges to make it this far.
