Last night, over 500 people poured into into Bert's Warehouse to participate in Detroit4Detroit's Crank Up The Cause, an innovative event that brought citizens and non-profits together to discuss and fund critical community projects in Detroit. 22 nonprofits were in attendance and 21 walked away with a portion of the proceeds from the event and a percentage of $25,000 in airtime on WDET! (See results below).
Detroit4Detroit also crushed their goal of signing up 50 citizen philanthropists on the spot! These 50 will join the other 100+ citizen philanthropists in engaging their network to fund one of 150 critical community projects in Detroit.
Travis Wright hosted and we all had a great time teaming up with the good people at Detroit4Detroit on this project. Thanks to everyone who stepped up and voted before and during the event to help us give away a total of $50,000 in free airtime to 21 Detroit nonprofits!
