The IRS mandates that credit card gifts are deductible only in the year the bank processes the transaction. To be processed for tax year 2011*:

Mailed gifts by Credit Card must be received by Wednesday, December 21st
Gifts by check must be postmarked on or before Friday, December 30th

Credit Card gifts will be processed through December 22nd for 2011 tax purposes, but all gifts are welcome and appreciated.
*Gifts and pledges requesting Billing are not eligible for 2011 tax deduction.
Michigan Says “Thank You” for Supporting WDET - But Only Until December 31st!
The State of Michigan offers donors a special tax credit for charitable gifts to WDET through the Public Contribution Tax Credit. Michigan law permits individuals to reduce Michigan income tax by a credit of up to 50% of the amount you contribute. But act now! This credit expires December 31, 2011.
This year is your final opportunity to support WDET and get a credit on your Michigan taxes of up to $200 on a $400 donation if you file jointly. Corporations can claim up to $5,000 in deductions for a donation of up to $10,000.

Matching Gifts - you company might MATCH your gift and you can double your impact! Vehicle Donation Program is a way for you to get a nice year-end tax deduction!
