Metro Detroit Kids Receive Free Books From WDET Donors

In the spring of 2012, WDET teamed up with Operation: Kid Equip on a project called Books For Kids. WDET members helped us raise enough money in 8 days to buy over 22,000 books for local kids in need. Over the summer, we worked with 13 nonprofit and neighborhood organizations to get the books into hands of kids throughout Metro Detroit. This is the story of those books and their impact.
