Spend your 4th of July with WDET

We have a lineup full of interesting and thought-provoking shows, including a Moth marathon for you from 1 pm to 9 pm.

10 am - 11 am: Groundwork:Democracy Close to Home

A timely one-hour special, hosted by Scott Simon that tells stories of American democracy at the local level. We listen in as people wrestle with issues alongside -- and in opposition to -- their neighbors.

11 am - 1 pm: Strings Attached

Strings Attached: From Nat King Cole To Philly Soul...From Johnny Mathis to Luther Vandross. An audio excursion that explores the beautiful orchestration that backed moving vocal performances by black balladeers in classic songs over the last half century.

1 pm - 9 pm: The Moth

10 pm - Midnight: Repeat performance of Strings Attached
