The Sunday Sessions 024: DJ Tommie Cool

From the depths of the shadows comes the motor city turntable cobra Tommie Cool - a Detroit native representing both techno and house genres.

As the founding member of the now defunct hip hop group The Shadow Clique, Tommie has experience in writing, producing & arranging hip hop compositions. Tommie's influences range from A Tribe Called Quest to Z-Trip.

Although hip hop is his foundation, as a DJ, he incorporates music from all aspects and genres. Tommie has had a residency at the Mars Bar of Detroit spinning house, techno, acid jazz, hip hop jazz, & instrumental break beats. He's also had nights at the TV Lounge joining them for their "Deep Session" nights.

Tommie also hosts a weekly entertainment webcast every Thursday night, 9pm on www.fm881whpr.com where he represents the underground music scene to the fullest.

Tommie Cool's SUNDAY SESSIONS mix is called "Shades of the Underground."
