Mondo Blaze (aka the artist formerly known as Edmund Dorsey) represents a bridge between techno/jazzy house's past and its future. Heavily influenced by early jazzy house giants such as Larry Heard, Wayne Gardiner, Kerri Chandler and Jovonn, Blaze established himself in the late 80s/early 90s as a DJ with a discerning ear and a fiercely loyal following.
Having spun at many regional and national festivals throughout the years, Blaze has built up a reputation of being a prolific mixtape producer as well as one of the resident DJs at the Mars Bar.
His Sunday Session mix is titled "Mondo from Mars" melds old school funk, disco and R & B with the best of today's jazzy house and techno provocateurs.
