Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney announced his selection of Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin as his Vice Presidential running mate on Saturday. Ryan has stepped into the national spotlight over the last few years with his budget plans that would cut or revamp many social welfare programs in the U.S.
