“What are your thoughts on the proposed cuts to the water department?”

Detroit Mayor Dave Bing recently announced that over the next five years the staff of the Water and Sewerage Department will be reduced by 81%, saving the system $900 million over ten years. Bing says the cuts will not reduce service or the costs of water and sewer rates.

So, WDET’s Question of the Day is “What are your thoughts on the proposed cuts to the water department?”
