“Should the Detroit Fire Department allow vacant buildings to burn?”

The City of Detroit recently laid off over 100 firefighters in an effort to tackle the city’s budget crisis. A representative with the fire union says his members have been told by city officials to give vacant structures a lower priority while working to keep fires from spreading to occupied buildings.

So, WDET’s Question of the Day is “Should the Detroit Fire Department allow vacant buildings to burn, why or why not?”
