The Endangered: "Calling On You"

The Endangered have quickly become one of my favorite groups to break out in 2012 and this past Tuesday, they dropped their first EP. Today marks the one week anniversary of that occasion marks the release of the video for their lead single, "Calling on You."

While there are many facets of the group I enjoy, one thing that stands out is the group's name and why they chose it. “We named the group The Endangered because we felt that the type of music we enjoyed playing was slowly being edged out of the popular music lexicon. As musicians, we enjoy a wide variety of musical genres and we wanted the freedom to create music that celebrated what drew us to music in the first place. We hope to make music that is popular and thought-provoking.” ~ Maiya Sykes, lead vocalist
