The Childhood of Young, Jewish, Jesus Christ

Friday, April 18, 2014

Today is Good Friday, the day that Christians recognize as the day Jesus Christ was crucified. No matter what you may believe about religion, there is no dispute that Jesus profoundly changed the world. Most people, religious or not, know about the birth, teachings and death of Jesus which are widely discussed in the bible. But little is known about his childhood. There are just 12 versus in the bible that reference Jesus as a child. Chris Stepien is a Detroit native, emmy award winning producer and director, and now the author of a book about how Jesus may have lived as a child. WDET’s Amy Miller spoke with him about his book T_hree Days…the Search for the Boy Messiah_ and what Jesus life as a young Jewish boy might have been like.
