WDET's Travis Wright speaks with Republican U.S. Senate Candidate Randy Hekman, who is looking to run against the incumbent, Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow. Hekman has a B.S. from MIT and JD in law from The George Washington University Law School. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and also as a Juvenile Judge in Kent County. He was also the founding Executive Director of the Michigan Family Forum, Executive Director of CBH Ministries and Executive Pastor at Crossroads Bible Church. They discuss the election and what he would do if elected.
Main issues: The economy, entitlement programs, welfare, repealing health care reform, immigration and national defense.
