Temple Grandin’s Mom Talks Raising Children With Autism

Thursday, October 17, 2013

photo courtesy of CSU flickr Eustacia Cutler had to learn how to raise a daughter with autism before doctors and teachers knew how to treat children with special needs. Her daughter, Temple Grandin, would grow up to revolutionize how animals raised for meat are handled and processed at factories. Eustacia is speaking about her experiences at an event with the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit on Sunday, October 20th. As Cutler tells WDET’s Laura Weber-Davis, it wasn’t always easy figuring out what was best for Temple as a young girl.
