Study Shows Young Adults Not Finding Job Opportunities

Thursday December 6, 2012

Craig speaks with Jane Zehnder-Merrell, Kids Count in Michigan Project Director at the Michigan League for Public Policy, about the recent Annie E. Casey Foundation report that shows the dramatic impact of the economic decline on young people. Among other things, the report found that one in five young adults in Michigan ages 20 to 24 were not working and not in school in 2011, and less than half of 16 to 24-year-olds held any kind of job. They discuss the reports' findings and how to increase the number of opportunities for young adults.

Craig also speaks with WDET Interns Nick Andersen and Matt Walters about there experience trying to find a job after college and takes calls from listeners.
