Southfield Mayor Brenda Lawrence, Candidate for US Congress for 14th District

Craig is joined by Democratic Candidate for U.S. Congress in the 14th District and Mayor of Southfield Brenda Lawrence to discuss her bid for national office. Lawrence received her BA in Public Administration from Central Michigan University. She was elected Southfield City Council President in 1999 and elected Mayor of Southfield in 2001. She has also served on the Southfield Public School Board of Education as President, Vice-President, and Secretary.

Main issues: Job growth, infrastructure, education, women’s rights, public safety, immigration, national security, veterans, social security.
