Republican candidate for U-S Senate Clark Durant crashed a press conference held yesterday by Michigan Democratic Party chair Mark Brewer. Brewer accuses Durant of setting up a sham charity for profit. Durant says he did not violate tax law while fulfilling the mission of the school-choice education foundations he helped create. Durant is co-founder of Cornerstone Schools in Detroit.

WDET’s Laura Weber-Davis spoke with Durant... who is running a competitive and increasingly contentious Republican primary race against former-congressman Pete Hoekstra. Laura asked Durant first for his reaction to the accusations against him.
