On today's show, Last night was the second Presidential debate of this election season. Craig recaps the big moments from the debate with Vanessa Denha Garmo, publisher of The Chaldean News, Henry Payne, Political Cartoonist for the Detroit News, Robert Laurie, political writer and blogger and Lori Lamerand, board chair of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan. Have you ever wondered what would happen if the plane you were on crashed? For the first time on television, The Discovery Channel aired a remote crash of a 727 passenger jet in the Mexican Desert — all in the name of science. Craig speaks with Dr. Cindy Bir, Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Wayne State University where she is Director of Research for Orthopaedic Surgery, who was the bio mechanist responsible for the crash test dummies that were seated on the 727 during the crash. Craig speaks with Danielle Aubert, Editor of the book Thanks For The View, Mr. Mies: Lafayette Park, Detroit, and Lafayette Park resident Neil McEachern about the book and why people have chosen to live in Lafayette Park. They discuss where Lafayette Park fits in with the redesigning of Detroit and what other neighborhoods can learn from it. Craig speaks with State Representative Rashida Tlaib about incidents in the past year involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement(ICE) detaining parents outside of schools in Southwest Detroit. Also, The Metro Times stops by for their weekly segment.
