On today's show, Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney was videotaped at a closed-door fundraiser saying that "47 percent of people will vote for the president no matter what" and that this 47 percent, who Romney says don't pay income tax,"believe the government has a responsibility to care for them," and that they "believe they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it." Craig discusses what this video means for the Romney campaign going forward, the effect it may have on voters and takes calls from listeners. Craig speaks with Julie Semma and Barry Foster, Co-Chairs of the Detroit Authorized Towing Association(DATA), and Jerome Warfield, Chair of the Detroit Board of Police Commisioners, about the proposed changes to the cities' towing industry and how it could affect towing companies in Detroit. Also, there is no doubt that distracted driving is a serious problem in today's world of texting and fast food. Craig speaks with Dr. Peter Savolainen, Transportation Research Board member and an expert in traffic safety and enforcement, to discuss the issues related to distracted driving.
