American Linguist John Mcwhorter and Michigan Chronicle Columnist Bankole Thompson join Craig to address issues of racial identity. Thornetta Davis performs in studio with pianist Phil Hale and Craig speaks with Manager of Marketing Community Relations and Operations of New Center Park Julie Kouloumberis about all of the events in store for this summer at the park. StoryCorps Founder David Isay visits WDET to discuss this important new form of journalism that travels to people and gives them a platform to tell their story. StoryCorps will be coming to Detroit this year. Craig hosts a panel discussion with Carlo Sweeny, founder of Downtown Boxing Gym, and with youth boxers Shante Higgs and David Davis, about the gym's Youth Program. WDET's Rob St. Mary speaks with Derf Backderf about his chilling graphic novel, "My Friend Dahmer." Also, "Summer of '68" Author Tim Wendel comes in studio to talk about the Tiger's World Series winning season and the atmosphere in the city.
