House bills 6004 and 5923 would allow the Education Achievement Authority to take over schools, among other provisions. Rustem talks about why these bills are needed. Also, the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG) Director of Transportation Programs, Carmine Palumbo talks with Craig about public meetings designed to assess transportation needs for the Woodward Avenue corridor from the Detroit River to Pontiac. And Photographer/videographer Brian Kaufman and columnist Nancy Kaffer of the Detroit Free Press discuss the Freep's series on the Packard Plant.

In hour two of the show, among other topics, we hear about the Detroit by Design contest, and the proposed land sale by the City to Hantz Farms.
