Friday, January 11, 2013

Has Detroit turned a corner? Craig asks listeners if they think the city is on its way back up after hitting rock bottom, and how a better Detroit might change their lives.

Next, Craig sits down with Jerry Herron, Dean of Irvin D. Reid Honors College of Wayne State University to discuss Wayne State Word Warriors' top ten useful words that we should use more often in conversation.

Then on this week's Friday Follies Detroit Free Press reporter Niraj Warikoo, Huffington Post Detroit editor Ashley Woods and WDET's own Nick Austin join Craig to discuss a surge in NRA membership after the Sandy Hook Tragedy, the new NHL labor deal, Kwame's most recent parole violation and more.

In the second hour of the show Jill Jack stops by the studio and gives a sneak peak of her performance at the Ark on Saturday night at 8pm for her annual Birthday Bash. Jill performs with a musician from her band, Mark Innace on accordion.

Wrapping things up WDET's Travis Wright fills Craig in on all the weekend's happenings in Metro Detroit.
