Craig speaks with PBS NewsHour Host Judy Woodruff about the RNC Convention in Tampa, Florida and the upcoming election. United States Senator Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) speaks with Craig and offers a Democratic response to the Republican National Convention. Sen. Durbin is currently the Senior U.S. Senator from Illinois and the Senate Majority Whip.

Craig is joined by Antara Afrin and Charles Hurt, who are both incoming seniors at Cass Tech High School, as well as Western International High School senior Ron Michael Mullins and Detroit School of Arts freshman Jamerra Flores. Craig is joined by Dr. Thomas Harwood, Superintendent of Grosse Pointe Public Schools, to discuss the upcoming school year. WDET's Travis Wright speaks with Drew Schultz about the upcoming "Back To School" album and making music in Motown. WDET's Martina Guzman tells the story of Michigan's innovative solar-powered, hydraulic kayak launch. Martina went to Wyandotte to learn more about the first-of-its-kind universal kayak launch. Bankole Thompson of the Michigan Chronicle joins Craig to recap the GOP Convention thus far.
