On today's show, Actor Alec Baldwin speaks with Craig about his new public radio show. Baldwin is no stranger to fictional public radio. His sketches on 'Saturday Night Live' with Molly Shannon and Ana Gasteyer's Delicious Dish program created some of the most memorable laughs in the show's history. Baldwin joins Craig to talk about what his show, 'Here's the Thing,' is searching for. After that, WDET’s Amy Miller speaks with President and CEO of the Climate Reality Project, Maggie Fox, about the deeper environmental issues behind Hurricane Sandy and other extreme weather incidents. The devastation and unusual intensity of Hurricane Sandy has heightened the dialog about climate change. Odd weather events have been recorded all across the globe in recent years, and today the Climate Reality Project is in the midst of a 24-hour online broadcast examining how the use of fossil fuel is connected to these extreme weather incidents. Craig speaks with Tim Pascarella, Senior Loan Officer at Ross Mortgage, Bobbie Miller, Associate Broker with Re/Max in the Hills in Bloomfield Hills, Bonnie Richter, Vice President of Brokerage Service for Real Estate One, and Darralyn Bowers, Owner of Bowers and Associates in Southfield, about the changes in the real estate market and discuss whether the Detroit housing market is finally back on track.

At the top of the second hour of the show, Craig speaks with James Bell, Head of Consumer Affairs at General Motors about the symposium and the future of the electric car.It’s been more than six years since GM first introduced a concept model of the electric plug-in Chevrolet Volt. Now, General Motors will host a two day symposium with leaders from inside GM’s electric vehicle programs and third party stakeholders to include battery manufacturers and infrastructure leaders such as utilities to discuss the future of electric transportation. Next, we take a look at the role of public art in our communities. Over the past two years, the Sauve Art Foundation has helped fund the installation of public art throughout Detroit's Woodbridge neighborhood. This art includes sculptures, uniquely designed bike racks and building murals. Craig speaks with Woodbridge developer and promoter Larry John and John Sauve from the Sauve Art Foundation to discuss Woodbridge's public art initiative and the role of public art in communities. WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter speaks with President of the Detroit Federation of Teachers, Keith Johnson for an update concerning the recent issues surrounding the lay-off of hundreds of DPS teachers. The Detroit Federation of Teachers is now suing DPS over the methods used to eliminate more than 400 teachers in the city. According to Johnson, DPS school officials used a faulty evaluation system during the massive lay-off. Michigan Chronicle Senior Editor Bankole Thompson stops by to speak with Craig about his new book on the future of Detroit and its leadership. The book is due out July 2013.
