On today's show, Craig speaks with Education Trust Midwest Executive Director, Amber Arellano, about her testimony to the Michigan Legislature on Education Achievement Authority legislation. Next, Craig speaks with Southfield School's Superintendent Wanda Cook Robinson, who was recently named the 2013 Superintendent of the Year by the Michigan Association of School Administrators. They discuss the award and what unique things Southfield is doing for education and why it's working. Craig speaks with Joshua Wright, Senior Editor at Economic Modeling Specialists, about a recent analysis naming Detroit one of the country's top markets for competitive job growth.

CNN Contributor Van Jones speaks with Craig about his Rebuild The Dream organization. Jones is President and Co-Founder of Rebuild The Dream, which is a platform for bottom-up, people powered innovation in areas like policy, economics and media. They discuss ways to get the U.S. back on track and how to "rebuild the American dream." Athina Papas, owner of new Greektown restaurant Santorini Estiatorio, and Ernest Zachary, President of Detroit's Hellenic Museum of Michigan, join Craig to talk about the rich history of Greek culture and what they are both doing to keep these traditions alive and well in Detroit. Michigan State University is sponsoring an informational meeting about negotiating oil and gas leases and the role of the Oil, Gas and Minerals section of the Department of Environmental Quality in regulating the oil and gas industry. Craig speaks with Curtis Talley, Farm Management Educator at Michigan State University about the the upcoming Oil and Gas Industry Educational Program and the Oakland County drilling permit process. Yesterday, in a move to make their name even more pointless, the Big 10 Conference expanded from 12 teams to 14 teams with the addition of the University of Maryland and Rutgers University. This is the second time the Big 10 has added teams since 2010, when the University of Nebraska joined the conference. Craig and WDET's Pat Batchellor discuss the new "Big 14" and what it could mean for college sports in Michigan.
