House Republicans have offered a bill that blocks some safety reforms and ignores safety recommendations made by accident investigators from last year's natural gas explosion in San Francisco. The Associated Press reports that safety advocates believe the bill will undermine safety.
Craig kicks-off the discussion with Susan Conelly, a resident of Marshall, along the Kalamazoo River, who has become active in the river's clean-up since last year's oil spill.
In a later segment, Carl Weimer of the Pipeline Safety Trust joins Craig in studio. The Pipeline Safety Trust is a non-profit public charity that promotes fuel transportation safety through education and advocacy.
