The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History recently opened an exhibit called Pathways to Freedom, a look the parallel history of Africans who were brought to the Americas against their will.
Patrina Chatman, a curator at the museum will discuss the exhibit. Chico Sorrell is a teacher at Western High School in Detroit. He teaches a class on Afro-Mexican history and explains the reaction of the students when they find out they have African ancestry.
The exhibit runs until March 31, 2013.
