What Does a Patent Office Mean For Detroit?

Undersecretary and U.S. Patent Trademark Office Director, David Kappos joins Craig to discuss the long-time-in-the-making satellite branch of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Officein Detroit. The former Stroh's brewery headquarters in Rivertown will become the Elijah J. McCoy United States Patent and Trademark Office, and will open on July 13.

The Detroit branch will create more than 100 jobs. Recruiters began searching for tech professionals this time last year, setting up a hotline for applicants.
