Parenting can be difficult and challenging for any parent but when a child comes out, admitting that they are gay, it adds another set of challenges for some parents. WDET's Amy Miller speaks with Anne Dohrenwend, author of Coming Around, Parenting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Kids. Dohrenwhend is assistant program director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint. She is also an associate professor at MSU.
