Michigan State University Community Music School and The Outer Vibe have partnered to create Rock Camp. The program allows teen musicians ages 12-18 from local middle and high schools to join a band, learn about the the music business and prepare for a final concert with The Outer Vibe at the 6th Annual Detroit River Days Festival.
At the camp, students will create and work in their own bands that are based on musical interest and skill level. In addition to a performance, the students will participate in workshops that focus on songwriting, marketing, promotion and sound.
The final concert will be held on Saturday June 23 at the Detroit River Days Festival.
