New State Survey Will Assess Needs of LGBT Elders

Affirmations' Special Projects Manager Kathleen LaTosch, Jay Kaplan of the ACLU and Director of Affirmations' Faith Alliance initiative Judy Lewis join Craig to discuss a newly launched survey that aims to assess the needs and concerns of Michigan's elderly LGBT population.

The online survey was launched last Friday (Aug. 3), making Michigan the first state in the country to collect information on LGBT elders on a statewide level. Michigan Office of Services to the Aging, Gay Elders of Southeast Michigan and the LGBT Older Adult Coalition of Michigan formed a partnership to create the survey, available here.
